Gold fuming is a technique in glassblowing that involves small pieces of gold that are heated up until they are vaporized. The gold is then encased in more glass to create the different colors that you see. The hole also provides an additional barrier between you and the ash from your dry herbs and tobacco. You can even spin it around your finger (not recommended). This kind of glass has some very interesting features. For one, the more you use the spoon pipe, the more different it will look. Residue build-up can actually be useful for once!
